21 October 2021
In honor of the Pro Bono Month, celebrated in October each year, we would like to highlight some of the firm’s tremendous pro bono accomplishments starting in 2021, as well as recognize the tireless dedication of our lawyers to expanding access to justice, by providing high quality representational services to some of the most vulnerable members of our communities; and responding to some of the most pressing issues of our time. In recent years, as Cabinet and the world grapple with a rapidly changing world, we have redoubled our efforts to fight for racial justice, to bring relief to those most directly affected by the pandemic, to to defend the immigrant communities and, more recently, to tackle head-on the heartbreaking humanitarian crisis unfolding in Afghanistan.
We hope this newsletter gives you a taste of the types of work the firm does as part of its pro bono practice, including advising small businesses and nonprofits, appellate litigation, immigration , racial justice and criminal justice reform and veterans advocacy. We are very proud of the work of our lawyers on these matters and look forward to seeing what the rest of the year brings us!
